Awards (Georgian Bay Minor Softball League)

He was without question a man dedicated to ball, dedicated to making kids smile and wanting to see every child enjoy their childhood. We know Bob is still with us in spirit and his desire would be that every kid out there have the opportunity to be a kid. We were able as a league to thank Bob for his work when we introduced the Pioneer Award and we trust that this trophy will be a lasting legacy recognizing all of Bob's efforts.

Ross and Mary Ann Leonard were involved in the GBMSL from approx. 1986 - 1994. Ross served on the executive most of that time and Mary Ann helped with the planning and organization of various ball events and tournaments throughout those years. Ross and Mary Ann were an integral part of the GBMSL. Their strong commitment to the league has helped in it's success to this very day. When Mary Ann got sick Ross was forced to give up his involvement in the league so that he was able to be with Mary Ann

Presented annually in the Mini Squirt division The winners of the 2 tournaments will meet the week following their individual Championship tournaments to compete for this trophy, the highest Trophy attainable in the GBMSL for a Mini Squirt team The trophy is presented in memory of "Darren Laycock" and was provided by Waverley Recreation to be a lasting legacy in Darren's honor.
